The joint webinar between Bandar Abbas Municipality and Ningbo Municipality of China aimed to enhance interaction between the two cities and explore potential areas of cooperation in line with their sisterhood relationship. This webinar took place on January 26th at the FAVA conference hall, following an invitation from Ningbo Municipality. Notable attendees included Xu Leping, Deputy Director General of Ningbo Foreign Affairs, Zhao Dafang, Vice Chairman of China International Trade and Development Committee of CCPIT, and Mrs. Yu Ying, Head of Asian Affairs of NBEAO in China. Ye Rong Zhang, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Ningbo Municipality, Ms. Neda Shadram, Assistant Consul of the Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Shanghai, Issa Abbasi, Head of the Cultural Commission of the Islamic Council of the City, Abdul Reza Bahadur, Head of the Investment Organization. At the beginning of the meeting, Issa Abbasi, the head of the Islamic City Council, extended greetings and congratulations for the Chinese New Year and expressed his delight in establishing this communication channel. He provided a brief introduction to the city of Bandar Abbas, highlighting its investment opportunities in tourism, industries, ports, and commerce. Abbasi emphasized Bandar Abbas' strategic geographical location near the Persian Gulf islands and its important ports, such as Shahid Rajaei port and the special economic zone for metal industries. He also highlighted the city's robust transportation infrastructure, including road, rail, water, and air networks, which enable it to expand trade relations with other countries. Abbasi expressed gratitude to the officials of Ningbo for organizing this meeting, which allowed both parties to better understand each other. He also mentioned the sisterhood agreement between Bandar Abbas and Corinto, underscoring the importance of fostering strong relationships between cities.
